Remembering all those stinkin passwords is hard, us geeks included. 
There are numerous methods and options for creating passwords. If you have one you use regularly, by all means keep on keeping on.
But how would you like to only remember one really good password in place of all of them? A program like Keepass Password Safe, or Roboform are great examples of programs that allow you to do just that. You create a secure file with these programs, which has all your passwords, credit card info, web site login info, email info, any secure data you might need, all safely stored in the secure file. Then you create 1 really good password to protect that secure file and thats all you need to remember! These secure files are very portable and can easily be stored on a thumb drive so you have all your important information with you at all times. We highly recommend Keepass Password Safe because it is an Open Source program you can download for free.
To create a good, strong password for this secure file does not have to tricky, or complicated at all. One method we like to use is take a sentence, quote or statement about something very meaningful to you, or you will always remember, such as:
I only regret that I have but 1 life to give for my country
Now just take the first letter of each word in the quote and make your password from it. Use numbers if there are any, that always makes your password better. That leaves us with this as a password:
IortIhb1ltgfmc
Or another example:
Our dog Roscoe will be 8 years old next January
Which leaves us with OdRwb8yonJ as our password.
It is best if you pick a sentence or phrase that has a number in it. Then you can check how good your password is at the Microsoft Online Security web site.
